Description2

The old adage goes that the cream always rises to the top. If a quarter-century-long record of excellence isn't enough to convince you how good the UCF21 is, then nothing will. This 1995 model features all of the most desirable options with plenty room for five. Boasting a verified 4K verified miles, this V8 powered saloon is in like new shape cosmetically and mechanically. The body, finished in a Imperial Jade Mica over Cream is in excellent shape, Beloved for its premium ride quality, bulletproof reliability, and low cost of ownership this Toyota Celsior is a certified Japanese Classic you won't want to miss out on!

The cabin has been well cared for and it's obvious. Many modern safety features made appearances in this chassis, and the dual SRS airbags are nice to have on board, although we hope they never need use. Toyota also made standard cruise control, a power-adjustable steering column, and even electric seat belt adjusters. Uncommon at the time, both the driver and passenger get power seats which are incredibly comfortable on long journeys. The driver also can quickly access the power windows, door locks, and power-folding mirrors which all work as they should. Dual-zone digital climate control works properly and the A/C currently blows cold. The OEM radio is also functional, providing some tunes if necessary.

Head, shoulder, and legroom are impressive in both rows of seating and the seats are in excellent condition. Lacking any major rips, stains, or tears its remarkable how well this cockpit has held up. It's likely a combination of the quality of materials Toyota chose and an attentive owner. The carpets and headliner look decent and the matching door cards have no noticeable condition issues. Front and rear cupholders are also there for use, but the inside might just be too nice to drink in!

The UCF21 was actually over 90% revised from the first generation vehicles. Improvements made the platform roomier, more efficient, and powerful at the same time. The styling was an evolution of the first car, and the layout remained the same. Toyota's fabled 1UZ-FE powers this sedan, and benefits from a fresh oil and filter service. She turns over with a twist of a key, nearly silent, and nearly without a vibration. The engine powers the rear wheels, as it should in any true luxury vehicle, and is fed by a silky shifting automatic. Wide-open throttle gear changes can hardly be felt in the cabin, and the unit works without any hesitation or clunking. Acceleration is brisk as this UCF21 is actually lighter than the UCF11 it relaced.

The wheelbase was also stretched for the '95 model year and lends itself to a more stable highway ride. As a side note, the rear passengers receive more legroom due to this change as well. The air suspension can be raised or lowered with a quick press of a button mounted by the gear lever. The Celsior is as insulated from the road as it gets, and the platform handles large road imperfections without a sweat. The power steering is light and easy to articulate and the brakes stop this sedan quicker than you might expect.

The factory, flat-faced alloys all have new all-season rubber mounted on all corners. The tires quiet the ride down even further, are rated for the increased US highway speeds, and provide plenty of grip in less than ideal weather conditions if they happen to be encountered.
